Chapel Hill’s Jeff Riordan is the 2024 Athletic Director of the Year for Best Preps Tyler.
Along with being the athletic director, Riordan also is the head coach of the Bulldogs football team, leading them to the Class 4A Division I championship game for the first time since 2011.
During the past three seasons, Riordan has led Chapel Hill to a record of 36-10. The Bulldogs were a state finalist this year and a state semifinalist in the two years prior.
The Bulldogs boys basketball team won an undefeated district title, finished 30-5 overall on the season and advanced to the Class 4A Region III semifinals.
The Lady Bulldogs basketball team won 18 games and advanced to the playoffs.
The volleyball team went from seven wins in 2022 to 18 wins this season.

In powerlifting, Chapel Hill had one girl and three boys reach the state meet.
In cross country, sophomore Sebastian Medina qualified for the state meet.
The Bulldogs track and field team had several athletes qualify for regionals and had five athletes go to the state meet, including freshman Aryssa Cooper winning bronze in the triple jump.
