VAN — Lindale won both of its games during the opening day of the Van Farmers Invitational Tournament.
The Eagles opened with a 43-40 victory over Crandall and closed with a 50-20 win against Brownsboro.

Against Crandall, Lindale led 14-1 after the first quarter and 22-16 at halftime.
The Eagles opened the second half on an 8-2 run to stretch their lead to 30-18. Crandall closed the third quarter on an 11-2 run to cut the score to 32-29.
With Lindale up 38-32 in the final frame, Crandall got a layup by Ignacio Czarlinsky and consecutive threes from Ben Houston and Tristan McCullough to take a 40-38 lead with 2:09 to play.
Cody Collinsworth tied the score for Lindale, and Jacob Koeshall converted an old-fashioned 3-point play with 59 seconds on the clock to give the Eagles a 43-40 advantage.
Crandall attempted two tying 3-point attempts in the final 15 seconds but couldn’t convert as Lindale escaped with the victory.
Teigan Edwards led Lindale with 14 points.

Czarlinsky was the high scorer for Crandall with 10 points.
Against Brownsboro, Lindale jumped out to a 14-2 lead after the opening quarter and led 29-10 at the break.
Koeshall led Lindale with 10 points. Connery Churchill had 9 points. Holton Knox and Collinsworth had 8 points each, and Collinsworth grabbed eight rebounds with Portland assistant coach Ben Johnson in attendance. Collinsworth recently signed to play for Portland.
Edwards had 7 points and dished out eight assists.
Jarrod Hastings led Brownsboro with 7 points.
CRANDALL 74, VAN 32
Playing without nine of their 13 varsity players, the Van Vandals dropped a 74-32 decision to Crandall.
Van has nine players still in the football playoffs.
PJ Brooks led the Vandals with 12 points, and Austin Mitchell added 10 points.
Noah Ghormley led Crandall with 20 points, and Beau Bragg had 19 points and 10 rebounds.
PRINCETON 62, BROWNSBORO 33
Haven Ousley had 20 points and seven steals as Princeton rolled to a 62-33 win over Brownsboro.
Princeton jumped out to an 8-0 lead and led 19-4 after the first quarter.
Brownsboro put in 15 points in the second quarter and trailed 32-19 at the break.
Princeton pushed the lead to 44-25 after three quarters.
Jeremy Norvell had 13 points and five assists for Princeton.
Tylor Johnson led Brownsboro with 12 points. Johnson, Cole Williams, Colby Wood and Saul Williams all grabbed five rebounds for the Bears.
PARIS 40, MARSHALL 34
Paris used a big third quarter to rally past Marshall.
Down 25-16 at halftime, Paris outscored Marshall 16-2 in the third quarter.
Trevon Dennis led Paris with 17 points.
Ladorian Havard was the top scorer for Marshall with 11.
PARIS 49, PRINCETON 47
Jackson Rogers made a layup as time expired to give Paris the win.
Princeton was holding for the final shot, but Rogers stole the ball, passed it to a teammate and got it back for the game-winning bucket.
Rogers finished with 21 points, and Gavyn Hollie had 17 for Paris.
Jeremy Norvell led Princeton with 14 points, and Haven Ousley added 10 points. ———
