Francis Marie Ledger, age 85, of Tyler, passed away Nov. 19, 2018. She was born on Oct. 23, 1933, in Crane, Texas, to Arthur J and Gladys Burck. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and beautician.
She married William “Bill” Franklin Ledger and enjoyed an amazing life with the love of her life and children. Family and friends were Marie’s passion. She loved visits with her children, and grandchildren talking about their lives and the past. Marie embraced life and always saw the positive. She shared her love of reading, gardening, sewing, crafts, and games with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She gave back to her community by delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering at Jackson Elementary in their Host program working with beginning readers. She was a lifelong learner reading voraciously and taking senior classes at TJC. She believed that anything was possible if one is willing to do the work needed. She instilled that belief in her children. While living at the Hamptons she could be found many evenings playing Mahjong, Rummy Cube, and Hand and Foot with her friends.
