Dr. Ann M. Snyder

A graveside service for Ann M. Snyder, 70, of Tyler, will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Tyler with Dr. Philip Attebery officiating and under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Dr. Snyder passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at her home in Tyler.

Dr. Snyder was born in Manitowoc, WI., on November 29, 1947, to Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Kanzelberger.

Dr. Snyder was a Trustee of Tyler Jr. College from 1996-2002. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. In her civilian work capacity she was the Personnel and Training Director of the Nordstrom Fashion Retail Chain for Southern California. In addition, academically she had a Political Science degree from Western Michigan University as well as a Masters Degree from the Baptist Missionary Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas. She also received two PHD’s from the International Seminary of Florida, one PHD in Religious Philosophy and the second one in Religious History. Other awards include certificates from Phi Theta Kappa (four awards), Who’s Who of Students in American Universities (2 awards). Also, she had degrees in Applied Science and Theatre and Art.

She is survived by two sons, Matthew and Peter Riggs, as well as her granddaughter, Cassie Riggs and her loving husband, Cdr. Aaron W.S. Snyder, USN/Ret.
