Bargain shoppers will have plenty of opportunities to buy this week during The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary’s annual Spring Sale.

The event is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday in three buildings located at the corner of Bow and Spring streets behind The Salvation Army’s Family Store on Broadway Avenue.

The sale serves as a fundraiser for the auxiliary, which exists to support The Salvation Army.

Merchandise is spread among three buildings. The Market Place building houses higher-quality items for the home. This includes furniture for the dining room, bedroom, living room and office as well as rugs, china, silver, framed art and lamps, according to a news release from the organization.

This year it also includes a library section where collectible and coffee-table books will be sold.

Clothing will be sold in the newest auxiliary building. Items are available for men, women, children and infants. Shoes, purses, scarves, belts and hats also will be sold.

The Boutique section houses some of the more high-quality/designer clothing items.

The “garage sale” building includes a hodgepodge of linens, books, dishes, electronics, cookware, jewelry, stuffed animals, toys and yard and patio items.
