A test-drive fundraising event for scholarships will be held in Jacksonville on Oct. 16.

Bill McRae Ford is bringing Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR Community program to Jacksonville in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for the Adopt-A-School scholarship program and the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, according to a news release.

For every test drive of a new Ford vehicle, Ford Motor Co. will donate $20 to the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 16 at Bill McRae Ford, 1511 E. Rusk St.

Bill McRae Ford staff will be on site to assist with all Ford vehicles and provide additional information about each vehicle available for test-drive.

There is no pressure to purchase a vehicle, but rather it is intended to be an opportunity to raise funds for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Education Division programs.

Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
