I think Boortz didn't think the problem to an end. Any offer of compensation for a position is at gross. All labor contracts contain wages at gross whether they be hourly, weekly, monthly or annual. For an employer to take any portion of that would be a breach of contract. Just try to imagine how the AFL-CIO or UAW or the Teamsters would react. Some company may be silly enough to try but they won't get away with it.
