Go to Wikipedia and type in "Jim Jones" and you will see where the term, "Kool-Aid Drinkers" originated. PBS did a documentary on the whole event and I saw it not long ago and it was chilling how people will follow a charismatic leader like Jones. Kool-Aid drinkers are those who blindly follow a leader and justify everything he/she does and believes everything they say. I'm not saying that you are one of those people. There are Kool-Aid drinkers on both sides of the aisle. I just know that when I use terms like that it is going to stir up Kevin, Jacob, ole' Bill P, and others. I just like to rattle their cages every once in a while so I can listen to them squawk.
As far as finding a perfect church goes, please let me know when you find one; however, I don't believe one exists because they are all made up of fallible people. Christ was the only perfect person so there are always going to be flaws in every church. Maybe you just need to find one in which you feel comfortable and start helping it to improve. A newcomer can often see the flaws better than someone who has gone there all their life. All the best on your hunt. Maybe Bill P. will start his own church. Right now, though, he is too busy trying to get B. Hussein Obama elected (sorry, I couldn't resist it).
