You should care. It goes to his integrity and credibility if he claims to be something he isn't. It should be the same for everyone, especially those who seek an influential position.

Obama is a Christian. When one Christian questions anothers faith than where do you stop. Does a methodist recognize a Babtist, or a Catholic recognize a protestant and vice versa.
Go down this path and you will soon see the Christians at war with one another as the Muslim extremists are at odds with mainstream Muslims.
What about the Jewish faith? While not Christian, do they not worship the same god as the Christians? If not then how do we claim we are a judeo-Christian nation?
This bit about Obama not being Christian is just a backhanded way of calling him a muslim. That has been disproven but if you are going to go there live up to your Christian value of honesty and do it in the open.
