Heidi and Kevin

Kevin - I hope you did not think I was blaming single or working mothers for the woes of our educational system. To the contrary, I was just pointing out that unlike the 50's when I grew up, things have changed. While my mother had time to spend because my father was able to support us, todays families are different.

It is not just state mandates that interfere with education. Federal mandates, especially ones like no child left behind, also interfere and often federal mandates for education and other things are not funded and that shifts the economic burden to the states.

Heidi I do not know why you think I would not like you because you express your opinion. However, when I suggest this administration has made a mess of the war, the economy, the infrastructure, and the environment, you tell me I should try supporting them once in awhile.

When I suggest a possible solution to a problem, recognizing I'm not sure if it is right, you say you and I will have to pay for it. Then you really get out there blaming woman's lib, which I'm not going to touch with a ten foot pole. However, I might remind you that it was woman's lib that gave my mother the right to vote, oh and you too.

I guess the bottom line is a question I've asked before. What government services or programs do YOU think we should pay for with our taxes?

Vote Obama
Vote Noriega for US Senate
