Bill P.,

The largest provider of abortions in this country is Planned Parenthood, which does receive FEDERAL FUNDING which means tax money which means all of us are paying for it, no matter how opposed to it we may be. You also wrote about the "well being of the nation as a whole and of those less fortunate." A nation that aborts over a million of its citizens every year should not rest too comfortably and who could be less fortunate than an innocent baby that is killed before it has a chance to take it first breath? You then curiously mentioned a "saying." That was not a "saying," it is scripture quoting Christ as he held a child (Oops! You just made an argument for the pro-life position). You who follow the "Social Gospel" should not get into using Scripture because you will get shredded when you start a back-and-forth with people who believe in the real Gospel. Barack, incidentally, believes in the Social Gospel (those are his words, not mine).

You also said that social issues are as important as abortion. Abortion is a social and a moral issue; who better to provide for than those who have no voice of their own. It has also been shown that conservatives are much more generous with their own money than liberals. (This was a nationwide study. People here in the south seem to be generous regardless of what political stripe they are. We East Texans are very generous as a whole). When liberals (most, not all) talk about social programs they are referring to what the government is or should be doing for the needy. Conservatives pay the same taxes as liberals but also believe in giving out of their own pockets (Bill P. I know you are generous). Remember when ALGORE ws running against Bush in 2000? I know you Dems. would rather not but when Gore's latest tax statements were checked it showed that he and Tripper only gave a little over $200 to charity (part of that was donated used underwear). George W. and Laura gave over either $20,000 or $200,000. It may have been a different year but one of the media looking into the (evil) Cheney's tax returns found that he and Lynn gave over $2 million to charity. Another study I saw revealed that Americans as a whole are the most generous people in the world.

Bill Bala and Marvin Crain

You both are still missing the point - the point is DO NOT BE A ONE-ISSUE VOTER.

Out of curiousity though, a while back Heidi asked if I was against all war or just the war in Iraq.

Let me pose a variation of the question to Bill and Marvin:

Are you against all killing, ie innocents in war, death penalty, or are you just against abortion (notice I did not say pro-life as being pro-life requires more than being aqainst abortion)?

You throw the abortion issue at Democrats and assume all are pro-choice ( does not mean pro-abortion by the way ) and then go off the deep end talking about killing babies etc etc.

Now if you supported going into Iraq, you're guilty of supporting a plan that killed or maimed innocent children and Iraqi citizens. There is no way to justify that; even saying Saddam was a brutal dictator will not cut it.

Once you voice your support for going into a war of choice, then you become responsible for the results as far as killing innocents is concerned. They have a name for it: collateral damage.

On top of the 'collateral damage' we have also lost over 4000 of our brave not to metion the tens of thousands wounded.

THERE IS MORE THAN ONE ISSUE TO CONSIDER WHEN VOTING FOR PRESIDENT AND OTHER REPRESENTATIVES.

Obama for President
Noreiga for US Senate
