A father shot his son in the foot Monday night after the son allegedly refused to leave his property.
The father, Steve Ray Swindle, 52, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked in to the Smith County Jail.

A father shot his son in the foot Monday night after the son allegedly refused to leave his property.
A father shot his son in the foot Monday night after the son allegedly refused to leave his property.
Smith County deputies responded to the call on County Road 2223 at 7:10 p.m., according to a news release from the Smith County Sheriff's Office.
After the son refused to leave, the father is accused of firing warning shots into the air, but one of the bullets reportedly ricocheted and hit the son in the foot, according to the release.
The son drove himself to an East Texas Medical Center clinic in Tyler for treatment, according to the release.
The case remains under investigation.
