Tyler ISD parents can weigh in about the strengths and weaknesses of district campuses in a survey to be released today.

The school district is asking parents share their thoughts about overall campus climate through a survey available online or in paper form, according to a TISD news release.

Parents can provide feedback about safety and behavior, communications, instructional programs and support services, among other areas, according to the news release.

The District is working with K12 Insight, an independent research and communication firm, to administer the survey.

An email invitation to participate will be sent to parents who have an email address on file with the district, according to the news release.

Any parent who does not receive an email invitation can access the survey through a link on the district website at tylerisd.org.

Parents without Internet access may complete the survey at any TISD school, or request a paper copy by contacting the district’s Communications Department at 903-262-1064.

Parent responses will be confidential, with reports shared in a way that does not identify individuals, according to the news release.

The reports will be made available to the public after the district’s leadership team reviews them. In addition, the district will provide information about specific actions that could be taken as a result of the feedback.

The district has future projects planned to make sure all stakeholders can contribute to this discussion and that every part of the district continues to improve, according to the news release.

“We embrace another opportunity to hear from all of our parents, and I thank all our community partners who are helping us with outreach,” TISD Superintendent Gary Mooring said, according to the news release. “I know that such transparency will help us build more trust which will lead to more productive collaboration as we work toward achieving our mission of providing all students a premier education and preparing them to be successful, productive citizens.”
