Severe storms possible
Rain and thunderstorms are likely this morning across East Texas. Some storms could be severe with damaging thunderstorm winds the main threat, but 3/4-inch diameter hail and isolated tornadoes are also possible. Sustained winds will be easterly 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph. The rain will move out this afternoon as a cold front arrives and winds become westerly. The high today will be 63 degrees with a low 40 degrees tonight under mostly clear skies.
