7 tornadoes in East Texas on Monday, weather service confirms
The National Weather Service has confirmed there were seven tornadoes in East Texas on Monday, but the agency states none of the storms were serious.

All of the tornadoes were in the same parent storm that moved through Kilgore, Tatum and Carthage.

According to the NWS, the tornadoes were all F0s on the Fujita Scale, which rates tornado from weakest at F0 to the most violent F5 that can pack wind speeds of more than 200 MPH.

The tornadoes Monday all had speeds of 70 to 75 MPH and uprooted trees and broke tree limbs. No injuries or damages to homes or other structures were reported in the storm.
