MIDDAY UPDATE: American Legion Shooter, Victim Identified; 'Toy Story 4' reportedly planned
'TOY STORY 4' PLANNED FOR PRODUCTION
All the buzz on Twitter at this hour is the report that Disney Pixar is planning a “Toy Story 4” film starring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack. The movie will reportedly arrive in theaters in 2015. Disney Pixar has yet to confirm the news, but this isn't the first time the rumor has been out there, or trending on Twitter! In fact, there's an IMDB page stating that a “Toy Story 4 film is in the works."
AMERICAN LEGION SHOOTER, VICTIM IDENTIFIED
Authorities have identified a Rusk County man who was shot and killed Sunday morning at a Henderson American Legion Post. The 53-year-old Henderson man, Roy Lee Moore, was shot several times in his upper body after midnight at the post, 601 Sand St., while attending a function, according to a news release from the Henderson Police Department. A 60-year-old man, Joe Watley, of Henderson, was attending the same function and is accused in the shooting. As the victim got up from a table to go to another area in the post, he was shot several times, police said.
TEXAS STATE RAILROAD SOCIETY PLANTS TREES
The Texas State Railroad Society over the weekend planted 262 trees along the section of Texas State Railroad track that runs through the I.D. Fairchild State Forest. Varieties included Dogwood, Eastern Red Bud and Red Maple. The planting was supervised by Jason Ellis of the Texas Forest Service. The Texas State Railroad will begin its 2013 season on Saturday, March 2 (Texas Independence Day.)
TYLER CARDIOVASCULAR CONSULTANTS RIBBON CUTTING
Tyler Cardiovascular Consultants is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Tyler Chamber of Commerce at this hour for the new cardiac catheterization lab and imaging center at its new location on SSE Loop 323. That's the former Swann's location. Tyler CVC physicians include Doctors Robert Carney, Brent Davis, David Dick, David Hector, Daniel Jackman, Roderick Meese, Frank Navetta, Robert Smith and Thaddeus Tolleson.
