2 fishermen rescued from Lake Palestine
By KYTX CBS 19

Two fishermen were rescued Sunday morning when their boat filled with water outside the Villages Marina on Lake Palestine.

The boat carrying Brian Capps and Dave Davidson sank about 11 a.m., County Game Warden Chris Swift said.

Swift said the men were saved by two brothers, Greg and Jeremy Frazer, both of Dallas, who often fish on the lake and were familiar with the area. The men were in the water for about 15 minutes before they were saved, game wardens said. Capps was sent to a Trinity Mother Frances facility with signs of hypothermia.

Swift said the boat was too small to handle the high winds on the lake, causing it to fill with water and sink. He said high winds are a common problem for boaters and advised fishermen to check for lake wind advisories before getting in the water.

Capps and Davidson both were wearing life jackets.
