A.M. UPDATE: Ben Wheeler man faces intoxicated manslaughter charge



BEN WHEELER MAN FACES INTOXICATED MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE
A Ben Wheeler man is facing an intoxicated manslaughter charge after an early morning car accident involving two vehicles this weekend.
The accident happened about 1:10 a.m. Sunday on Texas 31 near County Road 1248.
The accident left William Craig Little, 56 of Tyler dead at the scene. The other driver Ramon Duran-Ledesma, 22 of Ben Wheeler was uninjured. He was given field sobriety tests at the scene and later booked into the Smith County jail on an intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle charge, a second degree felony.


DANICA PATRICK WIN SDAYTONA 500 POLE POSITION
Danica Patrick has made history. Patrick won the Daytona 500 pole Sunday, becoming the first woman to secure the top spot for any race in NASCAR's premier circuit. It's by far the biggest achievement of her stock-car career. Patrick had a lap of 196.434 mph that bested four-time champion Jeff Gordon's 196.292. Patrick has only one career win and that was in an IndyCar race in Japan in 2008. The season-opening Daytona 500 will run on Sunday at noon.
