P.M. UPDATE: Sanderson Farms coming to Anderson County; Sushi eatery heading for downtown spot
SANDERSON FARMS COMING TO ANDERSON COUNTY
The city of Palestine has announced in a press release that Sanderson Farms notified the city and Anderson County today of plans to build a poultry complex in the region. According to the statement, Sanderson Farms plans to build three facilities in the area – two in Anderson County and one in Freestone County. The company expects to employ up to 1,000 people.
