The Palestine Police Department is asking the public for information on a possible attempted child abduction on Monday.

A girl was waiting for the school bus in the 100 block of Brierwood Drive in Palestine when she was allegedly approached by a stranger and taken from the bus stop to a home without her consent, according to a news release from the department.
She was able to leave the residence without injuries.
Detectives have started an investigation and spoke with people living in the area to help locate a possible suspect.
