GOD-GIVEN?, February 6
A recent letter writer stated that it is our “God-given right” to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government. In my studies of the Bible I have not come across anything that says God wrote our Bill of Rights, and “thou shall have the right to bear arms” is not to be found in my Bible. However “thou shall not kill” is located there.
I think we confuse or maybe use the name of God to fit our specific thoughts.
