A.M. UPDATE: Tyler Police respond to late-night shooting; Destiny's Child Twitter war

LATE-NIGHT SHOOTING IN TYLER
Today at 1:12 a.m., Tyler police officers responded to 1700 North Palace Street at the intersection of West Vance on a call about people hearing gunshots. When police arrived, several people were leaving the parking lot, and no one would tell officers what had happened. A woman told police her car had been parked in the area while she was at the club and a bullet had struck her back window. Officers located several spent casings in the parking lot. No one was reported injured at the scene, and the case is currently under investigation by Tyler Police.

INJURED PAKISTANI GIRL SPEAKS
The Pakistani schoolgirl shot in the head recently by the Taliban has made her first public statement since she was nearly killed. In a video interview, the girl, who is having reconstructive surgery to replace part of her skull at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, said that she is "getting better, day by day". The 15-year-old girl spent years advocating for education rights for girls before she was shot in the head as she made her way home from school.

DESTINY'S CHILD TWITTER WAR
And in entertainment news, the reunion of Destiny's Child on last night's Super Bowl halftime show was met with mixed reviews -- among members of the group! After the performance, Keyshia Cole sent out a profanity-laced tweet criticizing the performance of fellow group member Michelle Williams, and then followed with a twit pic meme saying, "You mad?" Beyonce responded shortly thereafter with a twit pic meme with a response targeted at Keyshia that said, "You Relevant?" The halftime show got great initial reviews, but Destiny's Child's reunion was probably a one-time occurrance.

Thanks for watching, and look for our midday news update around the noon hour!
