The event will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 12 at Harvey Convention Center.
Former Sheriff J.B. Smith will again provide his own chili recipe, cultivated after his years of experience as a judge in the World Championship International Chili Cook-Off in Terlingua, according to the written release from the organization.
Ed King, manager of Chick-fil-A on South Broadway Avenue, will provide the company’s Chicken Noodle Soup for attendees looking for a non-spicy option.
Dessert will be provided by Jimmy Lynn of Dakota’s Steak and Chop House, and Marsha Swann of Distant Lands Coffee will serve coffee and tea.
Smith will also serve as the auctioneer for the event. Members of the Christian Cross Spoke Riders motorcycle group will assist with the auction. The silent part of the auction will feature items such as gift certificates, homemade cakes, gift baskets and many items of clothing donated from local businesses.
There will be a Valentine cookie decorating contest featuring local celebrities. The cookies will also be auctioned to the highest bidders.
Country-gospel artist Old Guys Rule will provide musical entertainment.
Last year’s Chili Bowl brought in more than $38,000.
