Aggravated assault under investigation, no injuries

A man is reported unharmed after an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon Wednesday evening.
Around 11:30 p.m., two men got into a verbal argument in the 3600 block of Old Henderson Highway, according to a news release from the Tyler Police Department. During the argument, one of the men allegedly flashed a handgun to the victim and left the scene.

The victim followed the man with a gun in a vehicle, catching up to him around McDonald Road and East-Southeast Loop 323, the release states. The victim told officers that after he heard one shot fired from the man’s gun, he drove away and called the police, the release states.
The victim was unharmed, and the case is still under investigation.
