PTA event to warn of alcohol effects

Teenagers, parents and educators can learn about the negative effects of underage drinking during a presentation at Robert E. Lee High School today.
Party 101: Consequences of Underage Drinking is open to students, parents and community members, according to a Tyler ISD news release.
It is being put on by the Robert E. Lee Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Texas PTA and the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.
The presentation supports the school district’s core belief that schools and communities have an enormous impact on students’ lives, according to the news release.
School officials, community leaders and law enforcement will have an opportunity to discuss their particular issues and solutions.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Lee’s Fine Arts Auditorium, 411 ESE Loop 323.
