Mrs. Bosley opened the store, at 7006 Highlands Lane, behind FRESH by Brookshire's, on Nov. 1 to buy merchandise.
Buying has been “awesome,” and they have “tons of back stock” to sell, Lane Bosley said on Tuesday. They expect a good turnout when the store opens at 9 a.m. Thursday, he added.
During a November interview, Mrs. Bosley said Clothes Mentor buys gently worn or new clothes that have come out within the past two years. Part of a national franchise, the store is buying brands carried in Tyler, such as Chicos, Coldwater Creek, Ann Taylor Loft, Coach and Talbots. Mrs. Bosley said she also is looking to buy and resell brands not offered locally, such as Nordstrom labels, Anthropologie, White House/Black Market, Banana Republic and J. Crew. The store carries women's sizes 0 to 26, as well as petite and maternity sizes. Clothes Mentor also will resell purses, such as Coach, Dooney & Burke, Louis Vuitton, Tori Burch and Vera Bradley, as well as shoes, jewelry and other accessories.
Mrs. Bosley will continue to teach full-time, while Stacey Brown manages the store. She will have about 10 to 15 employees. Mrs. Bosley's is the first Clothes Mentor in the East Texas area, and she said she would love to eventually open another location in Lindale or Longview, although that would take a couple of years.
Clothes Mentor was started in 2001 in Columbus, Ohio. There are eight stores in Dallas-Fort Worth, three in San Antonio and 70 more from coast-to-coast.
