UPDATE; BREAKING NEWS: Missing Smith County Man Found Unharmed

John R. Purdue, who was missing since noon from Smith County, was found unharmed late Wednesday night.
Purdue, 79, was found in Sanger in Denton County at a convenience store, according to a news release from the Smith County Sheriff’s Office.
His family was notified and was very relieved, the release states.
According to a sheriff’s office press release, Purdue suffers from dementia.
Officers from the sheriff’s office and Texas Department of Public Safety are making arrangements for Purdue’s safe return to his family in Smith County
