Woman, 39, found dead in Gladewater

Gladewater Police Department is investigating the cause of death of a woman whose body was found in the woods Thursday morning.
About 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Gladewater Police were called to a home in the 600 block of West Gay Avenue in reference to a missing person. A resident reported that 39-year-old Heather Marie Holcomb, who was staying in the home, had wandered off in the night.
The resident told police the woman had mental health issues.
Police and others formed a search party and discovered Ms. Holcomb’s body in the woods off a roadway on the 700 block of Gay Avenue.
