BREAKING NEWS: Tyler police looking for suspects in armed robbery

The Tyler Police Department is looking for two suspects that allegedly robbed a dollar store Thursday night.

The incident occurred at 8:47 p.m. at Dollar General, 1403 E. Gentry, according to a news release from the Tyler Police Department.

According to store employees, two black males entered the store, the release states. One stood at the door as a look out and the other approached the counter and flashed a silver handgun while demanding money. The employees complied, and the suspects fled with an undetermined amount of money.

Both suspects are described as black males in their late teens or early 20s, between 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall, and had medium body builds. One was wearing a black hooded sweater and blue bandanna, the other was wearing a brown hooded sweater, the release states.

The robbery was caught on video but officers have not yet reviewed the tape, the release states.
