Mid-day Update: Aggie's Johnny Heisman? Strong, early flu season
Tyler Native, A&M quarterback, Johnny Manziel is a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. Manziel is the favorite to win college football's player of the year award on Saturday night (7 p.m., ESPN) in Manhattan.
Tyler ISD expects to name a lone finalist for its superintendent position next week, district officials said. District spokeswoman Dawn Parnell said three people have applied for the position since it was declared open last month.
Flu season in Texas and four other Southern states is off to its earliest start in nearly a decade — and it could be a bad one.
