Auto insurance company giving out free tacos

A-MAX Auto Insurance will give away free tacos to the first 150 people who visit its first Tyler office opening today.
Texas tacos made by Stanley's Famous Pit BBQ will be handed out during the grand opening from noon to 2 p.m. today at 532 S. Broadway Ave. A-MAX is asking for $1 donations for each taco to benefit the
East Texas Food Bank. The company's goal is to generate $150 in donations to feed 1,200 family members. Representatives from the East Texas Food Bank will be at the grand opening.
"When we open a new office, we become part of the community so giving back to it becomes our priority," Human Resources Manager Rebecca Acuna said in a prepared statement. "By expanding to Tyler, we employ locals, spend with local restaurants, support local organizations and provide affordable insurance options for the families in the community."
The new A-MAX office is the first in Tyler and the 49th in Texas. A-MAX is an insurance provider for auto, home, commercial, motorcycle, Mexico tourist insurance, surety bonds and renters. Its mission is to simplify insurance for its customers by providing the community with the best customer service, most affordable rates for car, home and other services and to have convenient office locations in the neighborhood. In 2002, A-MAX started serving the Dallas/Fort Worth communities and has grown to three other markets, with nearly 50 offices in Texas.
