Downtown Tyler roadway to close for Smith County jail expansion project
The city of Tyler plans Friday to begin installing new manholes and an 8-inch sewer main extension on South Fannin Avenue for the Smith County Jail expansion project.
The closure, set for 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., affects the portion of Fannin Avenue that extends between East Erwin Street and East Elm Street.
Drivers are asked to use an alternate route.
