FRESH Ideas for Seasonal Apples
This recipe comes from a good friend whose family owned an apple orchard in Barry, Illinois called Apple Basket Farms. Her great-grandfather acquired the farm during the depression and the family grew a variety of apples such as Jonathan's, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Fuji and Rome.
All members of the family would help with the harvest that began in August and ended in early November.
This was a popular family recipe that is perfect for any occasion.
