Florence Jarman
Services for Mrs. Florence Jarman will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Hilliard Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Edom Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday before the service.
Mrs. Jarman passed away at the age of 93 on Sept. 18, 2012, in Van.
Florence Adele Slaton Jarman was born Dec. 24, 1918, to Bennie A. Slaton and Zollie High Slaton of Van Zandt County.
She lived with her family in the Sexton community, and attended Sexton and Van schools. She was a member of Primrose Methodist Church until leaving home, and then joined Pruitt Baptist Church. She enjoyed her friends and church families very much.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, McNeil Brown of California, Coye Lambdin of Ben Wheeler and J.B. Jarman of Van. Florence was also preceded in death by three brothers, B.A. Slaton Jr., B.D. Slaton and Edward L. Slaton; and three sisters, Clois Aben, Lois Hanna and Estylene Shelton.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Laverne Locke; sister-in-law, Bernell Slaton; and several nieces and nephews.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
