Hector and Les-lie cherish their time to-gether. This brother and sister are split-up right now in different foster homes.

“Even if I see him I still miss him,” said Leslie. Hector added, “I love her and I miss her.”

Kim Rhodes with Child Protective Services said, “They both want a family and they want to be together.”

Leslie is the youngest. She’s 7 years old. “I like dressing-up like a princess and a little mermaid.”

Rhodes said, “She has really good manners that she uses all the time.” And this young girl likes to stay active. “[I like] playing in the water, picking berries and eating them, and catching grasshoppers.”

Hector is the big brother. He’s 9 years old. “(I like to) ride my bike.”

“He is really affectionate. He loves to hug. He loves for people to think he’s a good kid. He likes for people to be proud of him,” explained Rhodes.

Hector is excited about being in the third grade. “[I like] that we get to go play outside. I’ve been doing good and I like math.”

His little sister is in the second grade.

“School is fun. I like to learn about math and science. I color in the lines and I never get out of the lines,” she said.

Hector and Leslie would do best in a family skilled at giving them structure and routine that is loving, but firm and consistent. What they need most is each other.

“I want me and my brother to be together because we love each other.”
