Police make second arrest in child case
The investigation into “The Clubhouse” at the Shiloh Pines Mobile Home Park has resulted in the arrest of a second man, who police said was showing small children pornography while another man was molesting them.
The case began in July when Thomas Harold George Brookbank, 21, was charged with molesting young children while in a clubhouse in a wooded area on the property off Shiloh Road.
Tyler police spokesman Don Martin said a 9-year-old girl reported that she and several of her friends of the same age had been sexually assaulted several times over a month.
Police have identified as many as five victims, but Martin said the latest arrest of 21-year-old Todd Gifford Wisdom was on three counts of sale, distribution, or display of harmful material to a minor.
Martin said the charges were levied because the man allegedly showed small children pornography on several occasions.
The man was released from the Smith County Jail earlier this month on bonds totaling $22,500.
Brookbank has since been charged with a second count of continuous sexual assault of a victim under 14.
He remained jailed as of Wednesday afternoon on bonds totaling $1 million.
Martin said the case is still under investigation, and anyone with information about this case should contact Detective Dianne Brown at 903-533-1880.
