The East Texas man accused of killing two Van Zandt County residents is back in the region as of Thursday morning.
Jail officials confirmed that Donny Greenhow was transported from Tennessee, where he was arrested last week after fleeing authorities. Greenhow is facing murder charges in the deaths of Ben Wheeler residents Peter and Latricia Schick, 74 and 55 years old, respectively. The couple were found dead in their home Aug. 3.
Greenhow was arrested outside of Nashville, Tenn., a week ago after abandoning a stolen vehicle. He was allegedly carrying a weapon matching the type that was used to kill the East Texas couple in their home on County Road 4812, authorities said previously.
Jail officials said no bond had been set for the 31-year-old suspect as of Thursday evening.
