Old Jacksonville Hwy businesses get permits
Building permits were filed for three future businesses off of Old Jacksonville Highway.
Wahl 2 Wahl Properties is working on a new shell space for Identity Salon & Spa at 2210 Three Lakes Parkway, Suite 100, in The Market shopping center. UEB Builders, of Dallas, is the contractor for the $332,131 project.
Amanda Lockman is finishing out a 2,047-square-foot space, also in The Market, at 2210 Three Lakes Parkway, Suite 140, for Sweet Hope Café for $40,000.
Schulz OJ, LLC is constructing a 33,000-square-foot parking lot for Julian's restaurant at 7212 Old Jacksonville Highway for $165,000. Kessinger Development Group is the contractor.
The Spencer Group, of Satillo, Miss., is remodeling a 39,000-square-foot building at 4820-A S. Broadway Ave. for Ashley Furniture HomeStore for $355,000. Work includes revising the layout, adding electrical fixtures, paint and install pony walls. Benco Commercial Construction is the contractor.
CHM Capital Partners LLC, of Desoto, is clearing and grading land at 3905 University Blvd. for future development. University Plaza will be a new commercial office and retail space, as well as necessary parking and driveways, according to a letter to the city by Randy Hanson, of CHM Partners.
Huynh Nguyen is renovating a 755-square-foot office space for U.S.A. Income Tax at 512 S. Broadway Ave. for $14,000. Work includes installing A/C, MDA restroom, dropped ceiling with lights and sheet rocking walls.
Tyler Independent School District is constructing a 960-square-foot shade structure at Jack Elementary school at 1900 Balsam Gap for $4,808.
Dal Jian Lei filed a transient vendor application with the city to sell sandals purses, jewelry and dresses from July 25 through Aug. 25 at 2631 WNW Loop 323, near the Gentry Parkway intersection. The business is listed as Jian Lei Dal, of Addison.
Samuel Chambers filed a temporary use permit for a three-night tent revival crusade for Manna Outreach Services, at 913 W. Bow St., from Aug. 9-18.
Steve Thornton filed a sign permit for Clothes Mentor, at 7006 Highlands Lane, for $3,500. Alphabet Sign Co., of Garland, is the contractor.
