Update: Woman uninjured in armed robbery

Tyler police said a woman returning home Friday morning was met by an armed man demanding cash as she got out of her vehicle.
According to a news release, officers were dispatched to 2525 Shiloh Road in reference to a robbery of an individual about 5 a.m.
“Officers contacted the victim, who stated that moments after arriving home she was confronted in her driveway by a younger black male wearing a grey shirt and black jeans,” according to the statement.
The victim said the man immediately pointed a gun at her and demanded money. He then took her purse and fled the scene as a passenger in a light blue sedan, the release stated.
Police said the woman was not injured during the incident, and described the robber as heavy set and in his early 20s with a blue bandana covering his face.
