School District Unveils Redesigned Logo
Tyler ISD unveiled a new logo and slogan on Monday. The logo uses blue, white and gray colors and features a large "T" surrounded by a two-columned structure. It features the district's name with its slogan, "Tomorrow's Education Today," underneath.
Eric Radde of cue:creative, the Tyler-based company that produced the logo and slogan, said the company took a classic approach and blended it with contemporary styles. The logo is designed to represent strength and structure.
"It is symbolic of the firm foundation that is Tyler ISD: a well-established district and community," according to a district news release. "The columns provide an academic and institutional look while the 'T' communicates that the community of Tyler is supportive and central to the academic success of the district."
The slogan is intended to communicate that "the future is here and now," Radde said. "Action is taking place in the present. It's not something Tyler ISD is moving toward. It's something that's going on right now, that's available to the students."
The district hired K12 Insight to conduct focus groups about the district. Cue:creative, which donated its time for the project, used those ideas to help in the creative process.
TISD spokeswoman Laura Jackson said the district will update materials as needed and use primarily non-taxpayer generated funds in the process.
