Brookshire's converting space into Super 1 Foods
Brookshire Grocery Company is converting its Brookshire's store at 113 NNW Loop 323 into a Super 1 Foods store for $630,000.

Work on the 55,785-square-foot building includes exterior paint with minor facade alterations, pharmacy drive-thru, interior finishes, equipment and pharmacy construction. BGC Facility Services is the contractor.

A building permit was filed for site demolition and excavation work for the new Smith County Jail addition at 206 E. Elm St. Turner/HGR is listed as the contractor for the $400,000 project.

Southside Bancshares is installing a box culvert for drainage and retention at the Southside Bank Data Center at 1010 E. First St. Riley Harris Construction LP is the contractor for the $85,000 project.

David Weaver filed a permit for work at the Subway restaurant inside Wal-Mart at 6801 S. Broadway Ave. for $35,000. Peterson Built, of Lindale, is the contractor.

East Texas Christian Academy filed a permit for portable buildings for classrooms at 2448 Roy Road. Jenrose Designs LLC is the contractor.

Community Access is building an open shade structure at 2050 Shiloh Road for $2,992. Jenrose is the contractor.

Sign permits were filed by Tyler Rx Pharmacy, 2415 E. Fifth St., $5,000, Chuck Eubanks, Leon's Sings Inc.; Super 1 Foods, 1105 E. Gentry Parkway, $8,000, Accent Graphics Inc.; Patterson Tyler, 3800 Chandler Highway, $2,400, East Texas Signs; and The Crossing, 2210 Three Lakes Parkway, $5,000, Werner-Taylor Land & Development, Leon's Sings.

Balser Homes Inc. is building a 3,082-square-foot home at 7039 Calumet Drive for $235,000.

Hamblett Construction Management LLC, of Flint, is constructing a 2,855-square-foot house at 1804 Whetstone Lane for $180,000.

Allmark Inc., of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., is repairing fire damage to Apartment 923 in Quail Creek Apartments, at 4901 Kinsey Drive for $28,600. Work to the 986-square-foot unit includes non-structural demolition, finishing out the interior, which is cleaned down to the studs, insulate, drywall, HVAC unit and water heater. Cotton Commercial USA, of Katy, is the contractor.

Nancy Smith is repairing a roof at 3404 Silverwood Drive for $61,000. Bayless Homes is the contractor.

Jose Saucedo is building a 1,344-square-foot home at 3010 Old Noonday Road for $30,000. Whole Enterprise is the contractor.

Sergio Reyes is replacing a roof, siding, shingles and windows at 1118 W. Fourth St. for $35,000. Mikasa Construction is the contractor.

Shana Steele is renovating a home at 2718 New Copeland Road for $30,000. Work includes fixing plumbing lines, replacing windows, building a screened-in deck, fencing in a side yard and painting the house. Integrity Homes, of Bullard, is the contractor.

Mark Upson is replacing 21 windows at 1800 Bent Tree Lane for $9,426. Lowe's is the contractor.

Carter Delleney is replacing a window with a door at 1318 E. Dulse for $600.

Curtis Hartin is replacing two windows at 1115 W. Mockingbird Lane for $376. Lowe's is the contractor.

Jose Arroyo filed a grading permit for a carport that was already built without a permit at 1804 N. Owens Ave. for $1,500.

Driveway permits were filed by Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics, 800 E. Dawson, CSA Concrete Ltd; and Gonzalez Concrete, 2805 and 2821 Valleyview.

There were also 12 HVAC permits filed.
