Tyler ISD to announce new logo, slogan Monday
Tyler ISD will unveil its new logo and slogan at the Board of Trustees workshop on Monday. Following the unveiling, the board will vote to approve the new logo and slogan, according to a district news release.
The recent discussion and adoption of the long-range plan led the district to pursue the creation of an image that better reflects all it offers. Additionally, the district’s address will change with the opening of Earl Campbell Parkway, leading to a need to reprint district materials. For that reason, officials decided the time was right to update the image with the new address.
The process of designing a new logo and slogan started when TISD began working with K12 Insight, a company that designs surveys and hosts focus groups to engage district stakeholders in collaborative decision making.
K12 Insight held a series of focus groups made up of community members, teachers, students, and district personnel. Members of each focus group shared input and ideas that were incorporated into the design of the new T ISD logo and slogan.
K12 Insight shared the data collected during the focus group sessions with Cue:Creative, a local branding and marketing agency that donated their creative services to produce the new logo and slogan.
Cue:Creative then worked with members of the TISD administration and Board of Trustees to finalize the design of the logo and wording of the slogan.
As TISD phases in the new logo, the district will use non-taxpayer generated funds or update the image as materials need to be replaced.
