Building Permits, July 29
Mezayek Building, Ltd. filed a slew of residential building permits for Townhomes at Faulkner Park, at 421 W. Cumberland Road.
Permits included 1,850-square-foot units, for $74,000 each, for apartments 102, 201, 202, 203, 302, 402, 602, 702, 802, 902, 1001, 1002, 1003, 2102, 2202 and 2302. There were also permits filed for 2,075-square-foot units, for $83,000 each, for apartments 101, 103, 301, 303, 401, 403, 501, 601, 603, 701, 703, 801, 803, 901, 903, 2101, 2103, 2201, 2203, 2301, 2303 and 2401.
There was also a grading permit filed for the project, to include clearing, grubbing, roadway and utilities at the site. Mezayek Building Ltd. is the owner and A.E. Shull & Co. is the contractor for the grading work.
Two compliance certificates were also filed for the multi-family residential project.
COMMERCIAL
Red Lobster, 1500 WSW Loop 323, is going to get a facelift. About 4,890 square feet of the 7,580-square-foot facility will undergo renovations for $250,000. Work on the exterior includes new paint, resurface and restripe paving, install a new flag pole, replace lighting, construct a new entry tower, install new metal roofing and upgrade accessible parking. Interior work includes new furniture and finishes in the lobby, bar and dining room, and new lighting in public areas. Darden SW LLC, of Orlando, Fla., is the owner while Buffalo Construction Inc., of Louisville Ky., is the contractor.
TSR Construction Inc. is building a 7,200-square-foot facility for private storage for the owner, listed as JJBL, at 3509 Star Road in Whitehouse for $250,000.
Craig Wheeler, of Garden City, Kan., is updating the interior and installing new A/C systems in a 10,000-square-foot facility for the Pico Technology offices at 320 N. Glenwood. Campbell Custom Homes, of Bullard, is the contractor for the $165,000 contract.
Stanley's Famous Pit Bar-B-Q, at 525 S. Beckham, is undergoing a 928-square-foot expansion for $49,390. Work includes pouring concrete between the existing building and the existing concrete wall, building four walls inside the new area and under a new metal roof. Roosth Properties is the owner while Caliber Associates, of Mineola, is the contractor.
Sentry General Contractors Inc. is demolishing and remodeling a 6,000-square-foot building at 218 W. Front St. for Locksmith Services. The project cost $47,000.
Lloyd Nichols filed a permit to demolish a 1,900-square-foot building at 3814 W. Elm St., where he plans to construct a Popeye's. D.E.A.A. Corp. is the contractor for the $6,500 demolition project.
Sign permits were filed for Rice Elementary School, 409 Carriage Drive, $20,043, Kirkland Sign Co. Inc.; Murphey the Jeweler, 1725 Troup Highway C, $2,800, Ricky Murphey, Kirkland; and Ace Cash, 3833 Texas Highway 64 West, $2,500, Kirkland.
RESIDENTIAL
C. Cooper Custom Homes Inc. is constructing a 3,093-square-foot house at 8541 Castleton Way for $250,000.
Carl and Lynette Ogletree are building an $80,000 pool at 6828 Weston Court. Backyard Connection is the contractor.
Michael L. Cottle is building a 1,200-square-foot storage building at 1116 Jeff Davis Drive for $16,000.
Jose Luis Gutierrez is renovating a home at 801 W. Bow for $10,800. Work includes plumbing, water heater, electrical, replacing doors and windows, repairing floors and adding heaters.
Keeling Property Management is replacing a roof at 923 W. Rusk St. for $5,800. The work is being done by Phelps Contractor.
Donna Smith is replacing eight windows at 2002 Lamplight Lane for $2,193. Lowe's is the contractor.
ARC's Shiloh Pines filed permits for three mobile homes at 2525 Shiloh Road.
James Dickeson filed a permit to move a 1,120-square-foot building on July 22 from 2704 Calloway St. and relocate it out of town.
Driveway permits were filed by David A. Francis, 7405 Cross Road; and Luis H. Leandro, 700 and 704 S. Confederate Ave. There were also seven HVAC permits filed.
