Myrtle Davis Clark
Myrtle Davis Clark went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 21, 2012, after a short illness. She was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Grand Saline to Perry and Minnie Davis. She was a 1936 graduate of Grand Saline High School, a resident of Tyler for more than 66 years and a devout member of East Tyler Baptist Church for more than 63 years. She was a gifted seamstress and a stay-at-home mom and housewife.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Melvin Coleman Clark; six brothers and their wives; and one sister and her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Regester and husband Joe; two grandsons and their wives, David and Lisa and Justin and Jill; two great-grandsons, Coleman and Seth; and one great-granddaughter, Hope. Many nieces and nephews complete the family tree. Her nephews will be her pallbearers.

Service for Mrs. Clark will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
