Generosity, July 22
ROSES:
To the nice young couple who stood behind me in the Lindale Wal-Mart last week. As I checked out to pay for my groceries, the clerk told me that my debit/credit card had expired. As I dug around in my purse (where I came up with just the exact amount of cash I needed) they stepped up and placed a folded $100 bill in my hand.
I protested that I didn't need it and didn't want to take their money. They insisted, saying, “We want you to have it.”
I just want to thank them. I want them to know what a nice thing that was and that I'll help the next person I see in need in a generous way as well.
