Florendo Renovating Restaurant Space In Times Square
Jon Florendo is renovating the 2,000-square-foot space that formerly housed Cimarron, for a restaurant at 5201 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 162, in Times Square.
Work includes demolition work to the entry, bathroom and dining areas, taking down a divider wall, cutting back and rebuilding the bar, building a decked seating area, painting, electrical work and redoing the bathrooms. McAllister Construction is the contractor for the $40,000 project.
Starbucks Coffee Co. is making improvements to its 1,715-square-foot store at 4925 S. Broadway Ave. for $100,000. TT Retail BMA, LLC/Signature Management is listed as the owner and Construction Solutions Inc., of Dallas, is the contractor.
JC Penney Corp. Inc. is doing a partial finish and fixture upgrade at its 5,250-square-foot store at 4401 S. Broadway Ave. for $25,000. Maxwell Builders Inc., of Edgewood, Colo., is the contractor.
Trinity Baptist Church is reworking the stage and adding a new baptistery at 604 W. Fourth St. for $45,000.
Crown Motor Co. is remodeling the interior of the 11,200-square-foot Crown Kia dealership at 4818 Troup Highway for $43,000. Abby Development is the contractor.
The Genecov Group is remodeling the 1,500-square-foot space that houses Murphey the Jeweler 2, at 1725 Troup Highway, Suite C, for $12,500. Work includes relocating walls, redoing some electrical work, HVAC, ceiling tiles and flooring. Nix Construction Inc. is the contractor.
Rick's on the Square is renovating its restrooms at 104 W. Erwin St. for $12,000. Rick Eltife is the owner and CB Builder is the contractor.
The Genecov Group is renovating the 1,801-square-foot Lone Star office facility at 2415 E. Fifth St. for $41,350. Work includes removing the overhead door, new restroom, two new walls and new finishes. Caliber Associates, of Mineola, is the contractor.
Jody Walker is finishing a 2,000-square-foot building and shingling a patio cover for a furniture resale and gallery business at 110 W. Valentine St. for $15,000.
Colliers is renovating a first floor common area at an office building at 3200 Troup Highway for $15,000. Work includes making ADA restrooms, reworking plumbing, fixtures and new finishes. Caliber Associates is the contractor.
AAA Plumbing filed permits for work at a 1,537-square-foot space at 8364 Paluxy Drive for $25,000; finishing out a 2,500-square-foot space at 8368 Paluxy for $30,000; and finishing out the interior of a 1,500-square-foot space at 8366 Paluxy for $15,000.

Ken Breazeale is replacing the roof system at 1781 Sunshine Lane in Troup for $9,600. Hanks Construction, of Whitehouse, is the contractor.
Danny L. Parsons is adding a bedroom at 414 E. Rix for $7,850.
A commercial permit was filed for a single-family residence at 1602 Merrill Lane. Work includes reroofing and possible decking for $7,000. Judy Gilbert is the owner and Knight Renovations, of Richardson, is the contractor.
Rick Vaugh is adding a detached garage at 1105 Elaine Drive for $5,000. Quality Construction Co., of Flint, is the contractor.
Jerry Piper is replacing 17 windows at 601 Carriage Drive for $2,916. Lowe's Home Center Inc. is the contractor.
Kelvin Whitmill is replacing windows and siding at 502 W. Harpole for $1,000.
Maria Cazarez is adding a carport at 3611 New Copeland Road.

David Cooper Quality Homes filed an application for residential temporary electrical service prior to building final, in order to lay flooring, at 6590 Furman Court.
