Smith County Tea Party To Welcome Sheriff Who Challenged Brady Bill Today
The Smith County Tea Party Special Election Committee will welcome Richard Mack, a former Arizona sheriff, who gained national attention by challenging a portion of the Brady Bill, gun violence legislation.

Mack will be in Tyler today from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriot, 7424 S. Broadway in Tyler.

Mack, an author and activist, focuses on promoting ConstituAtional education for law enforcement officers.
The Smith County Tea Party Special Election Committee was formed to support Chris Green in the July 31 runoff election for sheriff against Larry Smith, according to its website.

Mack endorsed Green before the May Republican primary. The event is free and open to the public.
