Family Of Seven Loses Home In Fire
A family of seven lost their Cherokee County house Thursday afternoon.
Capt. Derek Hunt with Earle’s Chapel Volunteer Fire Department said his crews and those from Coffee City, Bullard and Frankston fire departments responded to a house fire directly across the street from Cuney City Hall on County Road 3501 around 2:45 p.m.
No injuries to the man and six children living in the house were reported, Hunt said.
He said the cause of the fire had not been determined as of 7 p.m. Thursday. Cuney is roughly 10 miles northwest of Jacksonville.
