Tyler Police Seeking Armed Library Robber
Tyler police are investigating an armed robbery that happened outside Tyler Public Library Sunday afternoon.
According to a news release issued by the Tyler Police Department, the victim, an 82-year-old woman, was in her car outside the library after returning a book when a man approached her pointing a handgun and demanding she drive him where he wanted to go.
The woman refused, got out of the vehicle and gave the man $100, according to the release.
The robber, described as a black man between 19 and 20 years old, 5-feet-10, was clean shaven and last seen walking north toward Bois D'arc Avenue, according to the release.
