Texas A&M–Texarkana Offering Scholarships
Texas A&M University -- Texarkana is awarding $1 million in scholarships as part of the Arnold Scholarship Award Program.

The program, established by Texas philanthropists Anita and Truman Arnold, is designed to pave the way for enabling students to receive a college education, according to a news release about it.

Combining the scholarship with low tuition rates, A&M -- Texarkana students have the potential to pay less than $4,500 per year for tuition.

Qualified freshman and transfer students can apply for the scholarship. Applicants must submit an essay, transcript, test scores and application at www.ApplyTexas.org by Aug. 15, according to the news release.
